How To Add the Z-Box Hub to Alexa

What you'll need:

  • Amazon Echo or an Alexa enabled device
  • Z-Box Hub
  • Your Z-Box ID login and password for remote access

1. From the Amazon Alexa app, tap the More hamburger menu.

2. Select Skills & Games.

3. Click the Search icon and search for Fibaro.

4. Select the Fibaro Smart Home Skill from the search results.

5. Click the Enable To Use button.

6. You will be redirected to the Fibaro ID website. Login with your Z-Box MyHub ID account for remote access that you created during the Hub Setup process and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy policy, then click Continue. If you did not create an ID for remote access or if you need help with your password, please visit https://remote-zbox.myhubid.com/ to create or retrieve your credentials. DO NOT create a new account on the Fibaro ID site.

7. You should receive the following message on your screen confirming the integration: Your FIBARO Smart Home Skill account has been successfully linked. Click Next to discover your devices.

8. Alexa will automatically start looking for devices on your Z-Box Hub to connect. This may take up to 45 seconds. Once Alexa discovers the devices you will have to set up each of these devices one at a time. Click Next to start setting your devices up.

9. Select which connected device you'd like to set up first and click the Set Up Device button.

10. You can group the devices based on the location within your house. To do so select the room and click Add to Group. By adding your device to a group, you will be able to control whole groups by saying things like, “Alexa, turn on the Garage.” Continue the process for each device. If you don’t want to assign a device to the group click on Skip.

11. Once done, you are ready to control your Z-Box connected devices using the Alexa app!
